Goddess
Last night I had the supreme blessing of being at a sold out viewing of the movie the 'Goddess Project.' My soul sister invited me, and as all things she invites me to, it enriched my soul so so much!
The premise of the movie, that I took away at any rate, is that all women are goddesses. We are Divine. We are taught through society to essentially quell the one thing that we have that others do not: femininity and feminine energy. Within us, we have the power of creation, we have this divine nurturing and growth. And yet, we live in a culture that quells that. That makes us compare ourselves to others, that makes us envy other women and use that against them rather than lifting them up. What?!?
I can say wholeheartedly that this movie enforced what I already know: life is short, and you have to live it doing passionately what you're put here to do. You have a special talent, a special life force that you were meant to share with other people. You have to find that, or quite literally you will not be fulfilled. *I've known this about my own journey for a while, but you know-it's tough and so I avoid thinking about it*.
It's time for me to plug into myself and find my reason. To find a perfect fit and trust the universe to take me where it may. I know what I'm passionate about and I don't know where or what that will take me to. But I do trust that with the divine inside and the universe on my side (as well as a kick ass tribe of people that is ever growing), I will get there. And it's going to be an amazing ride.
Another take away from the movie (and this is a big one, in our culture): We have to love ourselves and meet ourselves where we are at. Self loathing is not a way to live. If you have a few extra pounds, ok. If you don't, ok. Beauty isn't in looking a certain way. Beauty is in being all you, all in and glowing because of it. Beauty is looking ageless because your soul is on fire. Beauty is a million different things to a million different people and that is ok. Someone, somewhere needs the beauty and gifts you have within yourself. So spread it like wildfire.
Have a great Wednesday!
With love,
Kara
